    President


    J. Rick Sandway, founder and President/CEO of Premier Computer Services, graduated in 1968 from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, with a degree in Economics and Business Administration. While in college Rick was a 4-year letter winner in swimming. He was a member of the Letterman’s Club and served two years as the club president. Rick was also active in his college fraternity where he served as both pledge captain and vice-president. Upon graduation from Augustana Rick became president of the fraternity’s alumni association, a position he held for nearly ten years.

    From 1968 to 1977 Rick worked for the Augustana College Admissions Office, first as a counselor and recruiter and later as Assistant Director of Admissions. He then was appointed Director of Financial Aid by the college. In 1977 Rick went to work for Sandstrom Products of Port Byron, Illinois, where he held the position of National Sales Manager. He left Sandstrom in 1987 to pursue his interest in the computer industry. From 1987 to January of 1993 he worked for Data One of Moline, Illinois, where he served as Sales Manager, Regional Vice-President, and Vice-President of Sales and Marketing.

    Based on the opportunities he saw and the contacts he had made, both with some of the large computer manufacturers and with major U.S. corporations, Rick decided to start his own computer business. In March 1993, Premier Computer Services, Inc. officially opened its doors. Initially providing only field automation deployment, break-fix, and hard-drive upgrade solutions to large corporations, Premier has expanded over the years and currently offers a complete line of life-cycle management services to the SMB market, major corporations, hospitals, and schools across the country. From initial hardware purchase, custom imaging and installation, to repair, data migration/redeployment and old technology disposal, Premier can satisfy a broad range of IT needs.

    Brent had been with Premier since the company opened in February 1993. Prior to that, he worked as a computer technician for Data One in Moline, Illinois. Brent attended Hamilton Technical College where he earned his Associate’s Degree in Electronics Engineering.
